My name is Heather Watley and our Story begins back when my husband Wayne and I were living in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Wayne and I were volunteering with a rescue mission where we were fostering dogs while they were waiting to be adopted. Although I’ve always loved dogs and we had two dogs and a cat at the time, I knew that I wanted to work more closely with dogs. So many times, dogs are put up for adoption or discarded by their owners because of behavioral problems. I believe these things can easily be fixed so that owners don’t get frustrated and so dogs will not be de-homed.

Seeing all of these sweet dogs without a home broke my heart and I realized at that time that I needed to do something about it. I looked online as to how I could go about becoming a certified dog trainer and the rest is history!

Shortly after I completed school at Animal Behavior College, I started working at Pet Smart as a trainer and became Pet Smart certified as well. When I left Pet Smart, after several years, to work as a vet tech at a local animal hospital, my customers from Pet Smart would still recommend people to come and find me, personally, to train their fur babies.

It’s almost like this project was thrust upon me and we’re loving every minute of it.

Is to unite dogs and their owners and set both up for a lifetime of love and companionship.

“Building Strong Bonds and Happy Tails!”

Is to be able to have the resources to establish a non-profit rescue for dogs, cats, horses, as well as farm animals being sent to slaughter. One of our end goals is to own a rescue farm animal sanctuary. We want to have the capabilities to go to farm auctions and buy cows, pigs, chickens, lambs, goats, turkeys, etc. that are being purchased for slaughter and let them roam free on open acres for the remainder of their precious lives.
